Father's Day began in Spain in 1948, when a teacher in Madrid, Manuela Vicente Ferrero, decided to celebrate this special day dedicated to fathers with her students the same way that Mother's Day was celebrated.

Ever since, Father's Day has been celebrated on March 19; it also coincides with the end of one of the most famous Valencian festivities, the night of the burning of the Fallas in Valencia. A holiday for the whole country to celebrate with family.
